Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and while I’m not a mum, there are lots of mums in my life. My own mum is simply the best and as I’ve gotten older, I am more and more grateful for her. My sister is a relatively new mum but she’s doing a fantastic job and my nephew is just so darn lucky to have her as a mum. And of course, my mother-in-law, who raised Topher into the incredible person he is today, kind, thoughtful, generous, and the most supportive human I’ve ever met.

As I write this post and share this gift guide with you, I want to acknowledge how fortunate and privileged I am to have so many amazing mothers in my midst. I know not everyone is so lucky. I am incredibly grateful to have my mum and to get a new mother-in-law and to watch the women around me become wonderful mothers in their own right, it really is a beautiful thing and it reminds me of the duality of women, we are powerful yet kind, protective yet selfless, strong yet supportive.

The last year and a bit have been so difficult for so many. I think it’s been hard especially for mums. New moms who are disconnected from family and friends, mothers who haven’t been able to see their kids, grandmothers who can’t hug and hold and play with their grandchildren, mums-to-be who haven’t been able to celebrate in the way they ought to. So this gift guide is for every mother, whether you’re a dog mom, a plant mum, a human mother, a cat mama, a person yearning to be a mom, or a mama-to-be, treat yourself this Mother’s day, but also treat the mamas in your life this Mother’s Day and lets spread some joy and kindness and hope.

Want to know one of the simplest ways to make your mum’s day, send her a bouquet of flowers. Whether you live near or far, the florist is always a phone call away and I promise, if your mom is anything like mine, she’ll be tickled pink!
