Classic Peach Crisp

peach crisp

I thought that I already had a peach crisp recipe on the blog from years ago, but I think when I updated my website, I decided not to keep the old peach crisp, but that’s okay because I have the best, most classic peach crisp recipe for you today. The peaches are slightly sweetened with a touch of golden brown sugar and the oat topping is crisp, golden, a bit sweet, and completely delicious!

This recipe doesn’t get any easier, you mix the peaches with the brown sugar and spices right in the baking dish. I just really love easy recipes in the summer that require minimal clean-up, as few dishes as possible, and ideally no mixers or anything. In the summer you don’t want to slave in the kitchen, you want to make a recipe with 5-minute prep, throw it in the oven to bake while you head outside to garden or read a book and that’s exactly what this peach crisp is!

How to make this Classic Peach Crisp

This recipe is so easy to make and you barely need any ingredients!

I like mixing my peaches right in my baking dish. So, start by combining your sliced peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ground ginger in a casserole/baking dish. I use an 8x10 baking dish, this is the baking dish that I use. Stir your peaches, seasoning, and sugar together, and then set aside.

To make your crisp mixture, stir together the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ground ginger in a bowl. Then use your fingers to pinch the room temperature butter into the oat mixture until it’s well incorporated.

Spread the oat mixture over top of the peaches. Bake at 350ºF for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool then serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
